The sequence of the creation was Elohim created the heavens and the earth. This was the dimension required to house His next creation - the creation of His support staff (Angels).
We will address His first creation - heavens and earth.
We find the account of the heavens and earth creation beginning in the Book of the Beginnings - Genesis.
We identified the God in His creation mode was Elohim as stated in the Hebrew text. In actuality, Hebrew Elohim, singular Eloah, (Hebrew: God), the God of Israel in the Old Testament. ... When referring to Yahweh, elohim very often is accompanied by the article ha-, to mean, in combination, “the God,” and sometimes with a further identification Elohim ḥayyim, meaning “the living God.”
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
What we know from the above passage is the heavens and earth were created during this time period. We have no clue on the measurement of time this took. We are told in scripture that a day is like a 1,000 years and a 1,000 years is like a day. 2 Peter 3:8 "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
So what we know from scripture is that God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth. When he created the heavens and the earth there was no darkness. So the heavens and the earth was full of light after His creation. Revelations 21:23-25 "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there." Revelations 22:5 "And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."
